For 5 years helped to develop the Tarantool OLTP database core: had a hand, for example, in JIT compilation of SQL queries, C++ connector and disk engine based on the LSM tree. He also worked in academia — he dealt with compilers and static code analysis. Now he's working on the Sphinx search engine in Avito.
